In solidarity with Roe v. Wade

To our Elektra community,

As a team whose mission is to increase access to and education around holistic healthcare for women, today’s news from the Supreme Court hits hard.

While we knew this day would come, we are saddened, dismayed, and deeply disappointed by the decision to eliminate a basic human right that a majority of the American people support. As a team and company, we are committed to doing everything in our power to advocate for the values & beliefs that we believe every woman deserves.

Firstly, we’re reaffirming our belief that abortion is healthcare. At Elektra, we believe that every woman has the right to safe and reliable reproductive healthcare. We also believe in every woman’s sovereignty over her own body.

Secondly, we commit to doubling down on our efforts around sexual health education.

Overturning Roe v. Wade will disproportionately impact marginalized women and girls. To help alleviate this, we’re offering free 15-minute virtual sexual health education visits with a member of our clinical team through the month of July (email [email protected] to book your time slot). We’re here to provide a safe, trusted space. No judgment. No misinformation. Only education & support.

Last but not least, Elektra’s clinical team curated a list of leading resources for those looking for support to navigate this challenging time:

👩🏻‍💻 Plan C: Up-to-date information on how to access abortion pills online.

💜 National Network of Abortion Funds: A network of organizations working to remove barriers to abortion access.

📕 Guttmacher Institute: A comprehensive overview of abortion laws, state by state.

🗣 Let’s Talk About Abortion Toolkit: A primer for difficult conversations, because every voice counts.

Today, and every day, we stand with the women whose physical, mental, and emotional health are threatened by today’s devastating news. These women are our sisters, our mothers, our daughters, our friends.

These women are us.

In solidarity,

Alessandra, Jannine, and the entire Elektra Health Team
