For some, this can be another reminder of the unreasonable beauty standards foisted upon us at a young age – thanks, patriarchy. At the same time, if makeup is your jam, it can be a really great tool of expression. And, there’s no shame in wanting to take care of our skin.

As much as claims of “non-toxicity” can be a marketing ploy, it’s hard to deny that modern society is riddled with questionable chemicals.
